Rise of Plug and Play as mainstream solution

In a continually evolving and challenging business landscape, finding the right office space can be game changing whether you’re a start up enterprise looking for ready-to-go accommodation, or a growing small or large organisation moving into your next phase.

As occupier demand for more design-led, plug and play office space continues to rise to become a mainstream solution, driven by an expanding flex market and an established lower cost alternative to traditional leasing, its welcoming to see Manchester’s Exchange Quay office campus adapting to trends by ensuring it delivers an inclusive offer with its available space through continued investment.

Upgrading 130,000 sq ft of space to from EPC D to EPC B and refurbishing a series of offices suites to create Plug and Play space, complements the campus’s flex accommodation offer at Serendipity Labs alongside its traditional offices of up to 20,000 sq ft available across the campus.

Plug and Play in particular has seen a significant shift, with fully equipped workspace solutions offering businesses of all sizes and shapes the flexibility and convenience they need and want.  It offers many benefits from reducing upfront costs, being highly scalable allowing companies to grow or indeed shrink teams; allowing businesses to be more agile to get up and running quickly, as well as enhancing productivity with a walk-in ready environment.   As the name suggests, all you need is your laptop and team to plug in and play and you can hit the ground running from day one – you just need to make your own coffee!

As a result of Exchange Quay’s recent initiative, the campus can now offer occupiers all options with additional lease terms, flex space and fully furnished space ready for immediate occupancy from a two-person office upwards.  This creates a real mix of businesses from individual creatives to big corporates, catering to their differing needs both now and in the future, helping them to expand and grow in a highly professional environment with first class facilities and on site amenities.
